This is not a tutorial but it seemed more appropriate to post it here as apposed to the n scale board.

So, I just finished this up today on my door layout. The scenery is inspired roughly by the Shenandoah valley in Virginia. It was painted with acrylics.

Questions, comments, criticism?

Looks really nice!  The one hill on the left side of the 2nd image seem a bit steep-sloped, compared to the others.  You may want to "fill" that area in.   I really like the distant hills and the green 'field' in between the two larger hills.

What color did you use for the sky blue?   Are you going to add any clouds?

I agree with you about the steep hill, I'll see what I can do. The sky blue is some old latex paint stuff I found down in the basement, I added
white paint until I got the right shade. As for clouds, I probably won't add any, more often than not clouds seem to damage the sky more than improve it. Thanks for  the comment dude!

You want the backdrop to be there, but not be noticed.  I think you've hit it just right.  Well done.
