Great closeup detail shots.  Really shows how the powders turned out.  I've never tried turpentine before, might have to give that a shot.

Years  back I remember reading an article on using women's powered makeup for weathering.  Anyone remember what mag it was in.

I remember an article that dealt with that in Railroad Model Craftsman between 1978-81 I'm pretty sure.
I wish I could be more specific on a date, but they're all buried somewhere deep in my parents' attic.
I keep saying I'm gonna go find them all & dig them out, but still haven't yet. Blah.

They're not "Crown Victorias"-they're known

Are these basically the same as the AIM powders?

Hey Guys!
Mig Powders are definitely not the same as Aim Powders. Aim Powders are far better than the Mig powders. Aim has a more adhesive property to them than Migs. The Aims also make great washes with solvent, water and alcohol. The guys on the board 'Model Trains Weathered' even use things like Micro-Sol and Hairspray to make washes for weathering.
