In spite of the cutoff of ALPS and FirstCheck cartridges, it appears Tom Stolte is becoming more active. Got the latest in an email this morning:

Prefix numbers for N scale 60-. HO scale 87-. S scale 64-. O scale 48-.

Well, the very active users of the ALPS printer knew the cutoff was coming. One of the suppliers, Tango Papa, offered a pay over 3 months plan to buy bulk supplies in December (you ordered it all then and paid for a third), for deliver in January, February and March. That got delayed with shipping delays (guess the boat(s) got lost ;) and I just got my final third of my supplies 2 weeks ago. I now have 30 white carts and a bunch of colors and metallics, enough to least me years (probably til I die). And of course, Tango Papa still has stock of many carts and replacements can be gotten via the EU for the next few years (at about double the current cost).

So I'm sure folks like Tom stocked up on cartridges and will have supplies for the next few years at least.

It does indeed. Does anyone have more info on QA&P, like what timeframes this car would be around?

I'dplace that car around the 1920s at first glance. Best bet is to ask the folks at www.frisco.org - sinc QAP was part of Frisco, they should be able to help you.
