I spent all weekend shoveling dirt for a garden railroad, five tons of it.

Just remember, garden layouts need lots of prototypical maintenance!  I think I've put 500 lbs of stone down to keep mine ballasted over the past few years.  I'll have to get another 200lbs this spring to try to put it right again this year.

I'm thinking seriously of pulling a Chessie and just ripping it up and moving the G scale to a shelf around the ceiling in the den.

Actually the garden railroad is modeled after the M&P... maybe I'll lease the right of way to BG&E for 100 years for a pole line!
