got this Red Caboose ART reefer

I was excited about these Red Caboose ART (N&W/MP) reefers when they were announced some time ago - until I saw a decent pic ...

The pic on Red Caboose's site does not convey the "Safety Orange" or "Flourescent Orange" nature of this car:

However, inspired by the Railwire weathering etc forum, I picked one up on the cheap from Ebay and I'm gonna try my hand at using some of the methods I've seen here to try to subdue the neon color.

I will take a pic before and after and then post them on here. I'm a busy sod, so don't hold your breath, but I'll give it a wack by January.

I'm gonna try the airbrush fade technique Rich Yourstone outlined in the NSR article and here:

to try and tone down the color. this should be interesting as I'll have to buy an airbrush (I wonder if MBK will have an after Christmas sale!)

There's actually a picture of one of these in the Color Guide... well, then end of one anyway.  Lookcarefully at the middle photo on pg 124.
