Title: Headend traffic on the '50s Broadway Limited

Were R50bs and B60 cars ever part of this? Either regularly or occasionally?

I did a little googling around and found several consist samples from the early 1950's that only list the lone BM70m listed as head end equipment.  Never say never, but probably a very rare occurrence, if ever.

Yeah with traffic volumes in those years I'd assume they run on the Mail and Express trains..

Looking through photos in the mid-late 60s, they DEFINITELY were included.... (To the point that I want one for my Penn Central Train 48/49)

I have even found a photo of a B60 behind am Amtrak SDP40F (but I'm guessing only the NYC ACF baggage cars made it to Amtrak paint.)
