Hi there,
I noticed today, that I can't upload an image. I don't get an error message, so I can't really tell you what's going on.
The browser ( not Chrome but Firefox ) is trying to make a connection but it seems there is no answer. The status bar just says www.railwire.net
After some time it says loading data from ads.goggle.blablabla... or so.
Then nothing, not even a time out...
The browser is not blocked, I can browse this site in another tab or another website, no problem.

How large (what resolution) are those photos? The forum software chokes on large photos (even though it is supposed to resize them). I resize mine before upload (usually to 1024 pixels across). and never have problem uploading,. But several times I have seen people having problem uploading large size photos.

The file size is not too big, 541 kB.
I'll check the resolution.

It was the resolution! I resized the image to a width of 1280px and it uploaded fine.
Thanks for the tip, I must remember that the nexet time.

Glad to know that the problem is resolved. I know that storage capacity is cheap, but still, I likebeing thrifty. After all, most of us upload photos here, so it make sense to keep the photo size reasonable. The Railwire is not Photobucket, Photki or Google. :D
I like to keep the photos I upload below 200 kB in size. They are usually around 100 kB. After all, these photos are just viewed on the forum, not being published in some magazine where high-res photos are required.

I know what you mean...
Resizing the image made it less than 200 kB. ;)
And yes, storage is cheap, but in generell, it is setting up the backup for a large amount of MB's which is creating a headache.
