Weldon Mill is a classic New England water wheel mill, although I haven't yet decided if it'll be grist or sawmill. Regardless, it's one of those "almost too obvious" things to animate. For one thing, it's fall-off-a-log simple. Once the foundation was complete, I could install the low-RPM geared motor and connect the wheel shaft.

The flume and bypass sluice is a self-contained unit that gently press-fits into place, allowing access to the wheel for maintenance.
