I recently received kits of all the Dimi Trains work train. Looking at the crane's instructions, I saw no mention of what type couplers to use. Before I bought the kit, I assumed some sort of body-mount coupler would be used (1025's?). Now, I wonder if truck-mounted MTL couplers can be used.
Any ideas? If anyone has the R-T-R version of the work train, I'd appreciate hearing what Intermountain did.
Hmm... I'm happy, just as
long as Kiz doesn't ask
me to build the kits...

I used truck-mount micro-trains on mine. Worked just fine.

I used 1025s, and they worked fine, but truck mounted MTs would work. Originally the crane was designed for truck mounted Rapidos, so almost any coupler should work. As short as the things are, coupler swing shouldn't be a problem, unless you're using it on a streetcar line.

When Accumates first came out they would stick out far from the Atlas cars they were on. I thought they worked great on the crane though.
Pardon the thick dust:

Thanks for all the info. Looks like I'll be putting truck-mounted couplers on the crane.
Hmm... is that a whooping
crane or a sandhill crane...?

I think it's a Denny Crain.
