New ExactRail...?

I just got in the November-December issue of N scale Railroading.

There is an ExactRail ad on page 5 advertising two new models in N Scale

1 ) PS-2CD 4000 Covered Hopper $24.95 MSRP

2) Gunderson 2420 Gondola $19.95 MSRP

I did not see anything on their website yet and the ad makes it appear that these will be available any day now. No mention of how many road numbers for each. The picture of the gondola looks really nice and it says it is a picture of the N Scale Model.  The hopper is a prototype picture.

This seems odd in another way. Weren't all/most of their other N scale products first released in HO? It is weird that they would be producing a 4427 covered hopper in HO and a 4000 in N. I would love an updated 4427 rather than a second 4000. On the plus side of things, they are producing a Milwaukee Road car, so it will be interesting to see how these compare to the BLMA model (which isn't yet offered in MR). The body mount couplers and new trucks/wheels of the BLMA car are extremely appealing.

No Dave, the Trinity 5161's were not released in HO.

I am certainly not an NP expert, but the 1969 ORER lists 15 NP cars in the 75650-75664 series with a 4000 cu ft capacity and a 49'-7" length that sound like a PS4000 car. This could be another model of course, but I thought you might be interested in this info.

Even though it doesn't "make sense", I doubt that ExactRail produced an ad for the wrong car.
